Conference Call On A Iphone – How to Hold a Conference Call with Your iPhone

Do you know your iPhone can allow you to call up to five people at once? – thereby making it easier for people to make calls in groups; Otherwise – conference call. The amazing part is that the other participants won’t actually be with a special kind of cell phone because even as simple as old cellular phones or landline phones can as well be a participating figure among the conference call.

Steps on how to add a participant in a conference call

This all starts like a normal phone call that you make. However, start your conference call by calling one of the participants normally using the Dialer app. Now it all depends on you to let the other person know that you care about or going to add another group of persons to the chat.

As the call is still going on (iPhone), click on the “Add Call” button. Then, the first call will be placed on hold while you place the second call. Dial the person’s number if you have that elsewhere or you can click on your contact to open up the list f your contacts so that you can select the contact that you want to dial.

Once the second person answers the call, you will notice that the first call is on hold and the second call active will come below it. Better still, if their names are in your contacts, then it will appear in the respective field. Otherwise, you will only just see their phone numbers displayed.

Afterward, click on the “Merge Calls” button so that you can now activate the conference between you and the other two persons you called. You can as well add as many as you want. All you have to do is to still repeat this process several more times if you want to add other callers.

Just tap “Add Call”, dial the next person, and then tap “Merge Calls” as soon they answer. You can call up to five people at once.

Note: For a conference call involving even more people, you will need a more advanced conference calling system.

If in the long run of this conference call you had an incoming call from another person, what you will do is to click on the “Hold & Accept” button. This will place the current call on hold so that you can answer the incoming call.

If the persons also worth the conference call, then you can ass well add him to the conference call. Afterward, you can click on “Merge Calls” to merge the person who called your phone number into the existing call.

Note: when you have an incoming call on the long run of the conference call, don’t click on “End & Accept” because you will end up cutting the current call or disconnecting all people on the conference call in order to accept the new call. Otherwise, you can just click on “Send to Voicemail” if you don’t want to speak with the person.
